Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Clip Consulting LLC(“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), a Wyoming limited liability company, collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal information when you use the Clip Capital platform, including the Campaign Tracker web application and any related services (collectively, the “Service”).

By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this Privacy Policy.


1. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

1.1 Information You Provide

  • Account information: name, email address, password, role
  • Profile information: display name, profile picture, contact details
  • Payment information: bank account details, payment processor identifiers (e.g., wallet addresses, PayPal email), tax identification information where required
  • Social media information: account handles and identifiers for platforms you connect (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Discord, etc.)
  • Communications: messages, support requests, and other communications you send to us
  • Content data: clip URLs, clip descriptions, campaign assignments, view counts, and related submissions

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • Usage data: pages accessed, features used, time spent on the Service, interaction patterns
  • Device information: browser type, operating system, IP address, device identifiers
  • Log data: server logs, error reports, performance metrics
  • Authentication cookies: essential cookies required to maintain your login session

We do not use third-party advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or behavioral analytics tools at this time.

1.3 Information from Third Parties

When you connect a social media account to the Service, we may receive information from that platform as authorized by you, such as:

  • Public profile information
  • Account verification status
  • Aggregate performance metrics (view counts, engagement)

We do not access private messages, contact lists, or personal data beyond what is necessary to operate the Service.


2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Operate the Service: create and manage accounts, authenticate users, process submissions, calculate earnings, and process payments
  • Communicate with you: respond to inquiries, send service-related notifications, share updates about the Service
  • Improve the Service: analyze usage patterns, troubleshoot issues, develop new features
  • Comply with legal obligations: maintain tax records, respond to legal requests, prevent fraud and abuse
  • Enforce our Terms: detect, investigate, and address violations of our Terms of Service or applicable laws

We do not use your personal information for advertising or marketing to third parties.


3. How We Share Your Information

We share your personal information only in the following circumstances:

3.1 With Your Consent

We share information when you explicitly direct us to do so.

3.2 With Creators and Campaign Partners

If you participate in campaigns for specific creators or clients, we may share relevant information with those parties for the purpose of operating the campaign — for example, your name, social handles, clip URLs, and performance data. We do not share your contact information, payment details, or other personal data without your consent.

3.3 With Service Providers

We use third-party service providers to operate the Service, including:

  • Hosting and infrastructure: Vercel, Supabase
  • Payment processors: third-party processors selected at our discretion
  • Email delivery: transactional email providers
  • Authentication and analytics: essential auth and observability tools

These service providers have access to personal information only as necessary to perform their functions and are contractually obligated to maintain confidentiality.

3.4 For Legal Reasons

We may disclose information when required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or when we believe disclosure is necessary to:

  • Protect the rights, property, or safety of Company, our users, or the public
  • Prevent fraud or abuse
  • Enforce our Terms

3.5 In Connection with a Business Transaction

If Company is involved in a merger, acquisition, sale of assets, or bankruptcy, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such change in writing.

3.6 We Do Not Sell Personal Information

We do not sell your personal information to third parties under any circumstances.


4. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service.

After account closure or deletion request:

  • Operational data (profile, contact info, social handles, communications): deleted within 30 days
  • Payment and tax records: retained for seven (7) years to comply with applicable tax laws and IRS requirements
  • Aggregated and anonymized data: may be retained indefinitely for analytics and service improvement

If we are required to retain certain information for longer periods due to legal, regulatory, or contractual obligations, we will do so and protect it accordingly.


5. Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information, including:

  • Encryption of data in transit (HTTPS/TLS)
  • Encryption of sensitive data at rest
  • Access controls limiting who can view personal information
  • Regular security reviews of our systems and providers

However, no system is completely secure. We cannot guarantee the absolute security of your information, and you transmit information at your own risk.

If we become aware of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you and applicable authorities as required by law.

We process your personal information under the following legal bases:

  • Contract: to provide the Service you requested

  • Legal obligation: to comply with tax, accounting, and regulatory requirements
  • Consent: where you have explicitly consented (e.g., connecting a social media account)

We do not use:

The Service may contain links to third-party websites or integrations with third-party platforms (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Discord, etc.). We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email (to the address associated with your account) or by posting a notice on the Service. The “Last Updated” date at the top of this policy reflects the most recent revision.

Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
